I was just reading this blog about something really interesting coming up with the formation of the classic unix epoch. For example the current epoch time right now is, give or take, 1234162777. Something rare will happen, I’m pretty sure it can happen only once too. The epoch time will read 1234567890 or in other words, the string of keys on a keyboard or the first 10 digits of the human number system (with 0 at the end). Isn’t that significant? No, not really. But it sure is neat.
Over at this epoch converter, I entered 1234567890 and I got the following.
GMT: Fri, 13 Feb 2009 23:31:30 GMT
Your timezone: Friday, February 13, 2009 5:31:30 PM
Where will you be at that time? What will you be doing? Who will you be with? How will you feel? (That’s the day of my dance at school that I probably won’t go to.)
Epoch Count Up
Finally, I found this nifty epoch clock (in javascript to keep the post on topic) that counts-up to the infamous time (1234567890)! Not too much longer!

I was watching the 5:30 news when this historic event came around. I was, to say the least, excited.
