I needed to resize more than fifty pictures yesterday. Photoshop is slow and cumbersome on its good days and I don’t have it at home. Paint.net is fast enough for a couple of pictures but for more than ten, you’ll go insane. So I went in search of a batch resizing tool.
Historically Speaking
So I’ve tried [...]

Back in the old days, when Windows 98 and Windows 2000 were the major Windows systems, when you ran the built in defragging program, it would show you a nice graphic representation and bring the promise of speeding up the operating system.
While, in Windows Vista and in Windows 7, you don’t get those fancy graphics. [...]

My computer science teacher recently mentioned JavaBat to my class. It was just what I had been looking for! I had been a bit bored near the end of class since I had completed the day’s project.
So, JavaBat?

My most popular post is how to burn an ISO with Nero 9. I think it is about time that I suggest some other software options that might make your burning experience better. I’ve tried a few ISO writing programs over the last few years. When I find one that works, I stick with it until [...]

Last week I had to travel to my grandmother’s house to setup her brand new government subsidised analog to digital converter box. The converter box was a Sansonic (FT-300A) from Target. When I setup, I tried to get a signal but it needed an antenna because the TV was in the center of the house.
My [...]

My mother pointed this article out to me today from the Simple Dollar. It is 25 Amazon Software Best Sellers list that you probably know and use. Trent gives a follow up list of free equivalents that should offer you similar if not better functionality. I have different thoughts though. I’ve used a lot that free software and [...]

Google recently decided to do something alarming to many Google fans; they changed their favicon. Sound the alarms!
I generally wouldn’t blog about a post on another blog, but I just had to this time. Googleblog was explaining their new favicon. Do you remember the good old days when the Google Favicon was reconizable from thousands [...]

Today my father and I were a bit bored so we thought we’d try out WPA. We though we’d try since last Monday we setup two wireless networks with WPA instead of WEP. We thought it was going to be fool-proof and effortlessly easy. It wasn’t that way for us.
We changed over with ease on [...]
