The blog was just upgraded to the newest release of Wordpress, 2.7 RC 1! Over 250 commits to the trunk between beta 3 and RC 1.
I can’t say too much about Wordpress 2.7 RC 1 right now since I just started using it but I have discovered a number of other goodies.

I was attempting to update from the Wordpress trunk, I believe, today. In the bottom right hand corner of the admin panel, you can see the following.
You are using a development version (2.7-beta3). Cool! Please stay updated.
I click on stay updated and I get to the admin page for updates in 2.7. I had two choices, [...]

Today, I replaced my Wordpress 2.6.3 installation with a fresh copy of the newest beta in the Wordpress 2.7 branch. Let me say that it’s excellent.
It’s pretty fancy. The left-navigation bar that is collapsible is a bit confusing at first, but after looking at the useful tool tips, it’s sensible. I still don’t understand how plugins [...]

Currently, the next version of Wordpress is in it’s second beta, 2.7. With 2.7, there are plenty of updates to User Interface for administration. Looking at the beta screen shots and video, it’s pretty neat. Here’s what I noticed.
